The Purpose of Money

A short post on something I've been reflecting on. Yes, it's obvious and juvenile, but yes, I still think this sentiment is worth writing down.

Money has two purposes:
First, to provide for those basic needs, like a home, food, clothing, transportation.
Second, to purchase or make possible those things that make us happy. In my case, to buy bike parts, or a good mocha.
So, if we are doing what makes us happy, then we don't need much of the second kind of money. The point? Do something that makes you happy, and you don't need much money beyond that which satisfies the first kind of needs.
Boom.
