I snagged this photo off the Blue Sky Velo website (Click here for a great race recap from these fellas), hopefully I'm not infringing any copyrights :( But the last race of November needed a good photo. It was snowy, reaaaally technical (I ate it a few times in the snow/ice) and all over awesome. I thrive in bad weather. When everyone else is miserable, I'm happy. And when my competitors are miserable, they don't go fast. Keeping with my classic strength, I was second out of the start (behind powerhouse Amy Dombrowski). I let my friend Lindsey Bishop by, then slowed the whole pack down at the start of the singletrack. Who says 'cross doesn't have tactics? I was passed a few times, but caught back on to Willa, who was leading the Cat 3s, with two laps to go. She was struggled in the technical portion (read: snowyicydeath) and I was poised to jump off her wheel, but on the last lap, she put the nitro in and I didn't pass her. Overall, I landed in 8th place, and 2nd place in Cat 3. A good result for me.
