Racing is done. Now it's the off season!
I'm not excited to be off the bike. But I am excited to be free of structure; No training regimen, no specific orders for five whole weeks. Translation: I get to go skiing! and trail running! and play lots of racquetball! and all sorts of silly outdoors activities. Christmas tree cutting? Let's hike to the very farthest edge of the forest and drag the tree out. It snowed in Red Rocks park? I'm crunching through the snow in my hiking boots. We're overstuffed after the Thanksgiving feast and haven't even had the pie yet? The whole dinner party strolls over to the neighborhood elementary and commences a massive playground session.
I love the off season!
