Up to date...

Well, I haven't posted in a while, but that doesn't mean that I haven't been up to much. I met up with Will, my old mountain biking teammate, and we went back to Moab for New Years, this time with my roommate Jane, and a couple others. All told there were five of us that made the big mistake of trying to ride Porcupine Rim on New Year's Eve....
Yeah, it's snowed over. Like, at least a foot of snowed over. We kept slogging on, hoping that the snow would lessen as the trail continued. Not so. After two and a half hours of hike-a-bike, we had gone fewer than five miles, and had only an hour of daylight left. With our tails between our legs, we turned around for some Gong Show-style (read: out of control) snow riding back to my vehicle.
All told it was actually a pretty good day of walking our bikes....and we followed it up with a quality night of New Years toasts and drinking in the most bumpin' bar in Moab.
Yup, that's alot of snow we're standing around in.

Wow Lianna, I can imagine what it looked like, we had a little light dusting in October. The view must have been incredible, though!
